TForm­ers have posted four images show­ing off what looks like Megatron’s rumored Tank Alt Mode. It’s a rather obscure look­ing tank with large yel­low thrusters at the rear, large cen­tral can­non, pos­si­bly some firearms on the side of the vehi­cle as well, and Megatron’s big ugly head peak­ing out from the Tank’s crotch.

In Rome Frank Miller recently spoke about his upcom­ing movie, “The Spirit” but also took some time out to answer ques­tions, one of them quizzing about Sin City 2:

I can’t talk about my projects, because I don’t believe a movie is real until I see the title on the screen. There are many things that can go wrong. But I can tell you that I’m very close to begin ‘Sin City 2′ with Robert Rodriguez. We have to arrange a few things and we’ll be back in action.

Looks like things should start rolling in the next cou­ple of months.

The Times Online are report­ing that Tobey Maguire stands to earn $50m in salary and profit shares for film­ing Spider-man 4 and Spider-man 5 back to back over six months. As part of the deal Maguire has also been allowed time off dur­ing morn­ings and evenings to spend with his young daugh­ter — an excep­tional case due to the planned dura­tion of the shoot.

“Tobey admits he is obsessive-compulsive about every­thing he does, and rais­ing Ruby is no dif­fer­ent,” a friend said last week. “There’s no way Tobey would allow work, no mat­ter how well paid, to get between him and Ruby, and Sony realised that.”

A full length Trans­form­ers 2 trailer will be aired prior to the upcom­ing Star Trek movie, due May 8th 2009; likely to be the first full length trailer. That’s a pretty long wait, but /Film points out that this is a sim­i­lar time frame to the orig­i­nal, which saw its first full length trailer released with Pirates of the Caribbean 3.

In antic­i­pa­tion of a Dark Knight awards push, our caped cru­sader shall be return­ing to the huge sil­ver IMAX screens early in 2009, so report Reuters — just before the acad­emy awards vot­ing sea­son begins. Whether tra­di­tional the­aters shall also carry the re-release has not been clarified.

A set of 11 videos from the Beth­le­hem Steel works set have been posted by YouTube user RodrigoNJ, in an obscure ver­ti­cal for­mat they show heli­copters fly­ing in to the loca­tion, film­ing, Michael Bay and most impor­tantly, the two halves of the ice Cream truck split up, dri­ving and spin­ning around independently!

This was pre­vi­ously reported on via the leaked Call Sheet, but never confirmed:

The scene break­downs also reveal that the Ice­cream truck is a new robot — split­ting in two (”twins”) around chil­dren whilst leav­ing them treats (com­edy is back, excellent!).
