Not meaning to sour the joyful occasion and celebration that is The Dark Knight, but it looks like Christian Bale has been causing trouble, as reported by the BBC:
Batman star Christian Bale has been bailed by police after being questioned about allegations he assaulted his mother and sister.
The 34-year-old was arrested and held for more than four hours after earlier attending a central London police station by appointment.
Mr Bale is alleged to have lashed out at his mother and sister in his suite at London’s Dorchester Hotel on Sunday.
He has been released on bail until September pending further inquiries.

“His mom and sister are alcoholics and drug addicts, they showed up at his hotel uninvited and highly intoxicated. Not only that but they wanted the front desk worker to let them into his room to wait for him. When they were told no they started cussing and yelling. Defeated, went to a second option of sitting in front of his door for a hour until he finally arrived. They were calling him big shot and saying that he needs to take care of his own. His mom was yelling that he would be nothing without her and that he owed her. His sister was begging for money and when he was pushing her toward the door his mother came from behind, started hitting him on his head, and kicking him. He managed to push them both out the door and his mom fell, they called the police and wanted him arrested. I believe that Christian is the victim here not his mom or sister.”

i heard the room was pumped with scarecrow juice, and when his mom and sister turned around and BAM– Hes in nothing but his underwear, socks, cape and cowl. The rest is obvious. Im joking. Relax. They said recently that it was more of a verbal dispute, his wife was insulted by his mom, and the asking for money part was more or less right. Verbal assaults are an actual crime in London, which is logical considering he didnt go to the station till monday, after a 3 day opening of the première. Personally, I dont care either way, it sucks that it came out in the open like this, but when youre famous in a caliber like him, its expected to happen. Remember kids, dont mess with the goddamned Batman, or you be gettin’ a tounge lashin’ !!
